Happy New Year 2009!
It's been a while, I just want to let my Xanga subscribed list know that I'm still reading your blogs as it goes directly into my e-mail box. And for those of you who happen to stumble upon this blog, I have been blogging at www.kimong.com for over two years, now? Time flies, doesn't it? I've grown and so much has happened since the end of my Xanga blog.
I now appear on magazines.
I will be getting married in June 2009 to a wonderful Olympic track cyclist.
I cook frequently and am increasing my culinary skills.
So much more, too much to explain here.

Migrating For Good
Dear Readers,
It's been a really long journey here on Xanga, sharing my thoughts with all of you. You have seen how I evolved as a college girl into a working person today. I guess in that sense, this blog has already achieved its purpose being a butterfly-morphing blog. The girl who started with zero knowledge on computers evolved into someone who at least knows how to edit pictures via Photoshop from the previous Microsoft Paint. This same girl blogged about various issues in the past to include family, relationship, and whatever that is fun fun fun will still continue to blog about the same issues but I guess a little more grown up and more composed than before.
What will happen to xanga.com/kimfluttersby? It won't remain obsolete. I'll maintain this blog here and not import all my archives over to the new blog. All that is left here will remain here. Privatised entries (2003-2004) will remain personal and my life on this blog for public viewing starts from 2005. This account will still be used to comment on fellow Xangan's blogs. I know I'll miss Xanga for its user-friendly templates and most importantly, its community. Although you will no longer receive updates from me through e-mails, I hope you will visit my new site. Bookmark it if you must. Nice to know what we're all up to even without neccessarily dropping a comment.
Will I still be kimfluttersby / butterfly Kim / flutterer Kim? Butterflies will always be a part of me and 癃 will continue to be my trademark / symbol.
It's time for a change and optimistic Kim is ever so adaptable to different environments. Time for me to move on.
Much love and God Bless,
Kim Ong

Raoul Party
Date: 23 August 2007
Time: 7pm
Venue: Mandarin Oriental
FJ Benjamin held a party for its in-house brand, Raoul at Mandarin Oriental recently. It attracted 500 people including people in the entertainment and fashion industry; retailers, designers, celebrities and more. Thanks to Kelvin who invited me, I was able to meet interesting personalities and experience a well-organised event. Think glitz and casual glamour with models strutting their stuff in Raoul's latest designs, alcoholic beverage of all sorts, mouth-watering delicacies and of course, occasional eye-bopping fashion statements. Atilia and band jazzed the night just before the 500 were invited to witness the fashion show, with a nicely set-up runway walked over by leggy models. It was so lively, people were scattered all over right to the toilet, where girls were even hanging out in the ladies' room resting their feet while sipping wine and chatting away. Towards the end of the night after the fashion show, the dance floor was filled with people dancing away to Mambo Jambo. How fun, but it was nice watching them while I pretty much preferred to chat the night away for a change.

Wong Sze Zen, former Miss Malaysia and I.
Tengku Azura struts down the catwalk in fish-net stockings.
Legs and more legs.
Andrews Models posing.
Ethel Cho in her distinct walk. I love watching her model.
Random people who joined up for a good picture.
Alex Lye always looking so fresh.
Jeff, Alan and myself.
Kelvin the IT man, pro-photographer, writer, blogger and watch enthusiast. Thanks, Kelvin for a great night out.
Hans Isaac, Camelia and Mr. Benjamin.
The "bun" duo. Of course, the highlight of the night had to be meeting Camelia, popular Malaysian diva. She's so elegant.
What a great night. Kudos to Raoul. If I were to join the fashion industry someday, it has to be FJ Benjamin.
